Favorite Makeup Right Now

There are a handful of beauty products that I have remained loyal to over the years and cannot give up (like my Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner) but I am always on the hunt for something new and fun to try.  It is exciting to find new gems from both the prestige cosmetics department as well as the mass brands so every time I step foot in a beauty store, I have to try something new.  Today I am sharing a few of my favorite beauty products that I am crushing on right now.

Smashbox #SHAPEMATTERS Palette $55

Smashbox #Shapematters palette

You can tell by the picture that this palette is well loved.  I use the Smashbox #SHAPEMATTERS palette ever day as it has become a staple in my daily makeup routine.  I purchased this palette last July so you can see how well it has lasted over the last nine months.  The pigments are strong, they wear all day and the hard case makes it durable for travel.  This palette includes two brow powders, highlight, glow, bronzer, contour and nine eye shadows.  For $55, this is a great deal!

Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm $4.99

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm

I have never been much of a lip tint kind of gal but recently felt inclined to pick up a few colors while visiting my local Ulta Beauty store.  I usually like a lot of color on my lips but realized it was really nice to have a simple hint of color on my lazy days when makeup is minimal.  The hydration is great and the colors are beautiful so I can already tell this is going to be an easy go-to for me when baby Olive arrives.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips $6

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips

I am so into Colourpop right now, it’s not even funny.  The cosmetics industry is evolving and brands are popping up who offer quality products at affordable prices.  Colourpop is one of those brands and so far has not disappointed.  After following the line on Instagram for months, hearing my friends talk about them and also reading that their lip products are just as good if not better than Kylie Cosmetics, I placed an order so I could see for myself.  After receiving the three lip colors and lip liner in the mail, I ordered about 15 other shades to add to my professional freelance kit.  I know my clients (particularly Brides) are going to love the long wearability of Colourpop.

Japonesque Highlight Trio Champagne Collection $37

Japonesque Champagne Highlight Trio

This highlight trio was an impulse buy that paid off.  The Japonesque champagne highlight trio is another new addition to my pro kit and I have loved putting it on clients recently.  The finely milled powders give a gorgeous glow around the ocular bone and down the bridge of the nose.  Champagne Gold, Rose Gold and Bronze Gold are insanely beautiful and make it easy to highlight on any complexion.  Bonus, it comes in an elegant gold case that looks chic and feels expensive.  I am not sure if this is going to be added to their permanent line or if it is just a special but cross your fingers that they decide to keep it!

Makeup Revolution Strobe Highlighter $6

My favorite beauty products right now

For something a little less expensive, I love the Revolution Makeup Strobe Highlighter.  I was honestly surprised at how much I love love love this highlighter and at how gorgeous the glow is.  This powder has a beautiful gold glow to it that gives that almost wet goddess type of look that is so perfect for the spring and summer.  If you are going out or going to the beach, you cannot go wrong with the Strobe Highlighter.

Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation $42

15 hour wear foundation

Originally this was a last minute purchase before my wedding that I was going to use on my honeymoon.  I have oily and acne prone skin and wanted something that would wear all day, endure the summer heat and not streak off if I was swimming or sweating.  This oil-free formula is absolutely beautiful and has not only met all of my needs but it has also landed me many compliments on my makeup.  My mom actually went out to get herself a bottle because this is a hydrating formula, it works beautifully on her skin that tends to be on the normal to dry side.  I would recommend this to anyone wanting long wearability and flawless coverage.

Let me know in the comments what your must-have products are.  I would love to check them out if I haven’t already!
